-Chao are nice as a mini-game, not as a way to get the last few emblems.
I played all the way through SA2B and got every emblem... just to find out
that I would have to raise a second Chao to get through the Dark Race.
(If I had known, I would have gotten a neutral Chao.)
I used the reusable animals trick for both, and I barely got the Dark one fast enough.
(I had to retry the races a few times before I could win.)
Now, I have a Chao that I visit once in a while with any character, and
I just use any items and animals (and I don't cheat). It's actually kind of fun now.
-With better graphics... they'll still look sloppy. SEGA didn't bother to smooth them
out for GameCube, and it will probably be the same thing next time (if there is a next time).
They might look better than on Dreamcast, but I'm sure they'll be at least as blocky
as they'd be on the weakest of the (up to) 3 systems the game is released for.
-SEGA will probably just simplify and wreck the Chao system more.
Look at what they did to SADX! Some features are missing, and speed boosts
in races are completely random (but it still says to watch the stamina bar and
use boosts carefully). Oh, and they'll do something like this:
300 emblems! Sonic stages (which are less fun than before): 25 emblems
sloppy stages: 75 emblems garbage stages (Big, Knuckles): 100 emblems
Chao and stuff: 100 emblems
